~$1600 gaming/work build

Hi gang, I am looking for your input about a build i am currently throwing together. Advice on how to lower cost/increase performance/general comments are all welcome.

The build:

Cooler Master Haf X

Intel i5 2500k

Gigabyte UD5

HD 6970 Sapphire

Kingston 8GB RAM DDR3 1600

Intel Sata 3 120GB SSD

With a few extra peripherals, the final price is about $1600 USD. I'm open minded and will consider anything reasonable.
