New 6950 temporarily artifacting on any use - RMA it?

Hi guys,
I just put together a new system and I noticed from the beginning that whenever my new video card (a 6950 1GB) is accessed, white artifacting appears on the screen for about 5-10 seconds before dissipating. What I mean by "accessed" is whenever the system starts doing anything graphical - I've seen it on Aero animations, when switching to Quicktime to watch a trailer, and most notably during the splash screens of any game (usually disappears by the time I get to the menu though). It's a XFX HD-695x-ZNFC 1 GB, and I noticed (belatedly unfortunately) that it has several reviews saying they've encountered problems with it as well on Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150523&cm_re=radeon_6950_1gb-_-14-150-523-_-Product), though none say they have the specific problem I do.

Is this thing broken and time to RMA? Or could it be something else? Re-installed drivers several times and checked all connections....

You might as well try new drivers, and maybe a different card you have laying around to make sure it's just that card. However, it does sound like it's a defective card.

Oh yea forgot to mention - I tried my old 3850 and it works fine.

I would try RMAing it....artifacting should not happen.

RMAed successfully, just in-case anyone else has a similar problem.
