No, AMD has not implemented PCIe 3.0 on any of their Chipsets or CPU's yet. The Radeon HD 7xxx series graphics cards do support PCIe 3.0. However, it's not really that big of a deal because there aren't any devices that can saturate the bandwidth of PCIe 2.0 yet.

for cfx it best if the mobo had 2 pciex 2.0@16x separated 2 pci lines and they don't share bandwidth.....

for the model... ...... ..... (hunting time!!)

By the time AMD does bring out PCie 3.0, PCie 4.0 will be out like the end of next year, so what's the point in upgrading atm? I'm going to wait another year and stick with my asus crosshair v formula thunderbolt and x3 factory oc gigabyte 570's with 1100t x6 AMD oc. Runs everything maxed out np atm, and best to wait to see what the new console's will be running, as most games will be ported from them anyway. Build a new rig based around that. :bounce:

original pci-e:2003
1.1:2005
2.0:2007
2.1:uuuh
3.0:made in 2010, released 2012

mind my source for the dates is wikipedia, the dates looked reasonable so i trust them

but my point being, it took them 5 years to go to 2.0, 5 years to release 3.0, so do i smell a pattern?

and good luck finding a first hand phenom II chip, quad cores are easy, but the hex cores have dissapeared
