Not sure on the memory. 12 GB sounds like a 3 x 4GB configuration. If so then you are loosing dual channel benefits. Now if your work demands more memory then straight away opt for 2 sets of 8GB memory package. That way you get more ram and retain dual channel operation. If this is a gaming build then staying with 8GB memory is enough. Also opt for the X4 955 then. It has got an excellent price as of now. Plus if and when you do upgrade to a Bulldozer CPU, then return value on the processor will be better.
Agreed on the Memory front with Emperus, but on CPU choice get the 1090t as its a fantastic multi tasker, and you can OC it very easily to 3.8-4.0ghz plus save a bit of cash on the cost.
Yeah i messed up on the memory, ill get to it but i don't know if im doing this yet, Im running a Core 2 Quad setup ATM, and for $125 i can throw in 1600MHz Vengeance, Corsair A70/mx4 and OC. Idk.
