I have built 2 animation workstations. Tyan MB,dual cpu quad-cores, 32gig ram...etc. both run great, I built them a while ago, one machine will never reboot. Don't know why, updated the bios and stuff. if I do a restart, the machine restarts to just a black screen with nothing on it. the entire computer is on, but nothing shows.

Does anyone have an Idea of why this one machine can't do a restart?

Is it windows 7 64 Ultimate?
Out of the 50 or so PCs I installed Win7 3 had a boot glich. It cold boots fine, but will not reboot. When you try to reboot every thing seems normal the PC is powered on, no boot error, and just a blank screen. I dont know what it is, but i found a fix just by google win7 64 will not reboot. To fix it boot of the orginal DVD and and choose the automated repair tool. Then allow it to search for boot errors. It should automatically detect an error and repair it.

Hmm....I'll try that, but I think I had XP on this machine before Windows 7 and it did the same thing.
