I rarely use my landline and was wondering if there is a way to hook up a phone to my computer for use with google voice. I have a computer that is on 24/7. I know there are headsets, but I don't want to be tied to my computer or have to put on a headset every time. It would be preferable to have a functional regular phone (especially if the buttons worked).

Thanks for your help!

There are wifi enabled phones that work with skype, but I have no idea if they will work with voice. You have to be at your computer to dial out anyway... but you could use a bluetooth headset, that way you can dial out and then leave the computer and do whatever.

Well you can use Google Voice without computer. Just dial your own Google Voice number and it will ask for a code (if you put one) and there will be options where you can dial the number you wish to reach.

So you won't be tied up to your computer and you won't be needing internet too.
