Case Fan Question

Is it beneficial to use an intake case fan to direct air towards the cpu if a large cooler is installed? I've seen youtube videos of this being done with the same case I'm currently using. It seems pointless if there's not much clearance. I'm wondering if I should replace my fan with a dust filter.

side fans are rarely useful. I cover my ports with air filters or foam, keeping the dust out will do more good then a fan screwing up proper case airflow.

Top one maybe, the bottom ones blowing on your graphics card so I'd say keep that one

Thanks for the responses. I'll replace the side panel fans with filters, and do some benchmarks to test the temps.
