Upgrading to an i5 2500k, need some advice.

Im currently still on a stock q6600, looking to upgrade to an i5 2500k but i am not sure which mobo to get.


My max budget is $500 for the cpu, mobo, and 8gb of ram, but im looking to spend 100-150 on the mobo.

Im not looking to overclock right away, but it is an option for me in the future. I may also evently consider crossfire for my 5850. On board audio isnt an issue, i have a hardware audio interface for music production already.

Thanks for any suggestions on motherboards and ram. i dont have ny brand preferances.
