Yes, both 1.65v RAM and DDR3-1600 are perfectly fine on any X58. If it weren't then I'd have over a dozen X58's in serious trouble. Chances are you can, if needed, run 6x8GB (48GB) of memory.

BIOS:
Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) -> Profile1
Save & Exit = Yes

If you simple set the System Memory Multiplier -> 12 with 1.65v RAM you'll have an OC failure. XMP sets all of the kit's settings: System Memory Multiplier, DRAM Voltage, and CAS Timings.

XMP sets the RAM (1 kit) to it's Rated Specs, just exactly as i said "XMP sets all of the kit's settings: System Memory Multiplier, DRAM Voltage, and CAS Timings." So if the Rated voltage is 1.65v then that's what the DRAM Voltage will be set to in the BIOS.
