thanks but i really prefer Amd cuz i ve been using only amd for my entire life  is there any amd model with amd compatible motherboard thats alternative to that?

AMD has nothing that touches that 2500K. I used to use AMD myself, but I'm a gamer and I go with what's best out there.

New (4 - 8 core) AMD processors are coming october. Get an AM3+ board / Athlon X3 now. Upgrade to an FX quad core october.

Motherboard - $120 - ASUS M5A97 EVO AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX

CPU - $ 75 - AMD Athlon II X3 445

Can you post the benchmarks on those chips please. I would hate to think someone held out for something that could very well be a potential dud. Do those new AMD cpu's compete with the Sandy Bridges? Do they stomp them? What's the benchmarks say for those AMD cpu's ? Post them please.

there are no official benchmarks but there are some supposed benchmarks. amd says they will compete with intel but who know. If the guy is an amd fan boy for cpu we know that these processors will be better than the phenom II so if he is going with amd he can wait for the bulldozer. On zotac they are supposedly a cheaper card in both quality and price but they do have a waranty so if they fail use it.

OK, maybe that was irresponsible of me to list untested hardware.
