Dell D600 motherboard

I have never changed a motherboard. What do I have to becareful of ?

1. Make sure you are grounded before touching any interior components. You can use a grounding strap or just insure that you touch the metal case beforehand to make sure you're grounded.

2. Be sure to use the brass standoffs that should come with a new MB. If not, most computer supply stores will carry them. If the old MB had standoff, just make sure the screw holes align.

3. Don't screw too tightly as that can damage the MB.

4. Memorize cable connections of old MB.
