Radeon HD 5970 Problems

hello there. I recently built my own gaming rig several days ago. The Problem is, my Games tends to freeze upon gameplay. Weird thing is, if i disable catalyst AI or Uninstall one of the display Adapters in the device manager (there's 2, probably cuz 5970 consist of 2 GPUs), the freezing stops. But in return, My Performance has been cut into half. So i suspect that something is wrong with the 5970. i can't Purchase another Graphic card cuz my parents won't allow me, so i've figured i have to solve this problem by myself. So why is it that when there are 2 GPus running on the 5970, it tends to freeze while running 5970 on a single GPU stops the freezing issue? I'm Using the catalyst 11.4 Driver btw


Notes: i noticed in the event viewer, theres a log. it mentioned something about "Audits has been dropped by transports. 0"

Which games did you play ? (there are some games that run better with AI turned off)

Hi. All Games tends to Crash (Crysis 2, Dirt 2, Cross Fire, Dead Space 2, just Cause 2 etc) with the exception Of Cs 1.6

Then your card is probably defective.Try an older driver(Such as 10.10),if it didn't help,then RMA your card

Return Merchandise Authorization.
If your card is still under warranty,send it to the manufacture and they probably give you a new card
