I have a Cyberpower PC (laptop) with the i7 processor and 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate, in the manual, it states that it'll hold up to 6 GB of DDR3 memory but I have 3 available slots to use. The question is, can I buy 3, 4GB DDR3 modules running at 1333 MHz and be able to have the OS recognize all 12 GB of memory?

I think it a question of how much memory the motherboard can handle, not the OS. If the limitation is there, it's not because of Win7. You could check with Cyberpower on that, or you could try by borrowing the memory modules first. If somehow you can get a hold of 2 memory modules of $ GB each, and have the system recognize all 8 GB, then you should be OK.
