Dual display port one is working and other is not

I have been trying to set up dual monitor display on my dell XPS 630 with a video card having 2 DVI display ports. My primary display works fine with an DVI-VGA adapter provided by Dell. When I connect my second monitor to the second DVI display port. The computer detects it but there is no video signal. Please help
I have updated the drivers for NVDIA GE 9800 running on my PC

Go under your display (control panel->appearance and personalization->display) and go to screen resolution. In there detect and then identify both of your monitors and select your resolutions etc. Also on the drop down choose "extend these displays" you might have "show your desktop on only one monitor" which would have your other screen be blank.
