Gaming on duplicate displays

I have recently bought a 42" LED TV and connected this via HDMI to my computer, which has 2 x ATI 5750 (in Crossfire mode) and runs on Win7 Professional.

I would like to project games on both the DVI-connected PC monitor AND on the 42" LED TV. It is possible to duplicate / clone the PC video signal to both PC monitor and LED TV for playing DVDs, using MS Office etc but seems to be impossible to do for games (e.g., Modern Warfare 2).

Is this a problem related to DirectX, implying that it will not be possible to use duplicate displays for DirectX games?

Also, since I do have two 5750 graphic cards, would it be possible to duplicate the game video output by disabling the Crossfire setup and let each card work in parallel, where one card projects towards the PC monitor and the other projects towards the LED TV?
