I am thinking of buying h67 board. If buy a discrete graphics card later, is it possible to switch between them (in boot menu or in windows) - i would like to do so to save energy, i think.

Also, i have Samsung B2230. Is intel's 3000hd enough for me for watching 1080p movies and little gaming?

Best solution

a b U Graphics card

the power savings you will get from switching back and forth between onboard and dedicated card wont be enough to justify wasting your time playing behind the computer to switch the plugs. the video cards dont go balls to the wall just watching a movie (and if they do they are pretty low end and thus low power anyway)... so youre better off just getting a good dedicated gpu and forgetting you have onboard graphics.
