Computer problem, wont boot, wont read dvd? blinking dash

I have tried everything,,I went into bios, I tried a different cable. Then I plugged in just a cd drive and still nothing.It does have power cause the light blinks when I turn the computer on. What am I missing? I tried setting everything in everyway in the bios and still nothing. It just keeps telling me that it is not found or working. Can't remember what it said verbatim, but hopefully you understand. Thanks in advance,

P.S. Maybe I'm just tired and missing a small detail and just need a good sleep...

Lame, dude...how old are you? Mind your own if you don't like what you see. I didn't come to you directly, This is my first time on the site and this is what I get. The title talked about what problem I was having. Thanks for keeping an eye out Tom's Hardware Administrators. Should of minded my own business.

Dose it say boot missing? If yes then install os again.
