I am building a new computer and am wanting to use the AMD Phenom 955 Black Edition Quad Core. I need help selecting a motherboard. It has to be able to run Dual Nvidia Quadro cards and have a high RAM capacity. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi GhislainG,

Thanks for the info. I do need SLI capability to run dual graphics cards. 16GB of RAM would be ideal though. Any other suggestions?

The problem is that you want 16 GB of RAM, SLI and a Phenom 955 Black Edition. There are few motherboards meeting those requirements. If you didn't absolutely want to use an AMD CPU, then any X58 motherboard with SLI and an i7 would meet or exceed your requirements.

ASUS M4N82 Deluxe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131383 (requires DDR2-800 for 8 GB or 16 GB)

You can search for 980a SLI, but it certainly isn't as popular as the Intel X58 chipset (Crossfire and SLI if BIOS supports it) or the AMD 790FX or 790GX chipsets (Crossfire).
