Hey Guys,

Im trying to decide on my new graphics card for my new build. The PCs main function will be gaming and im trying to decide between the GTX 570 or HD 6970. The links of the two specific ones im debating between are below. I'm hoping to connect it to my 46" LCD TV at 1080P resolution. Is one better for this over the other? Is one better for crossfire/SLI over the other if I decide to pick up another down the road? Thanks for any tips.

You don't need such a powerfull car for 1080p gaming. And you can flash the BIOS on a 6950 so it runs like a 6950, how it works I don't know, but i'm pretty sure people here can help you with that.

So I would save some money and buy a 6950 instead.

I of course meant that a flashed 6950 runs like a 6970

thanks for the reply. I understood what you meant. Not sure im willing to do the flashed 6950 though... I know everyone says its easy but im not sure I want to risk it. Any thoughts on the Nvidia vs ATI decision? Any issue your aware of with setting these up on a TV LCD rather then monitor LCD?

both cards are more than enough to play games at that resolution...
hd 6970 has more memory so it perform better at resolutions beyond full hd.. not at full hd... gtx 570 has better support in terms of driver software... i'll take gtx 570 home definitely...
