simple question...can i overclock my i7 870 on intel dh55hc mobo??

Go into the bios and look for a cpu fsb setting in one of the sections. The 870 is socket 1156, which may be easier to overclock than some of the 1155's. If you don't find a cpu fsb setting or the manual-auto option for your cpu, then the answer is no. If you find an "auto" setting, you must first change it to manual to get the fsb setting to change.
