The Non-standard case in question is a 1993 macintosh 16" monitor with everything removed. It is plastic and I know that the only parts of the motherboard that should be grounded are the mounting holes, do those need to be grounded for it to work safely or will i have to figure a way to ground them.

It's grounded by the 24 pin connector.
