Is Corsair Dominator/Dominator Platinum worth it if I'm not going to OC or do anything special?

No. There is no reason at all to go with anything other than Vengance or the low profile Vengance if you have an aftermarket CPU cooler. GSkill Ripjaws X is also just as good. The Dominator series is for overclocking and running at very high speed. Pretty much something no modern CPU either from Intel or AMD needs. DDR3 1600 is the sweet spot for both brands.

Lol, ok. Thanks for the advice. And is getting a corsair h40 worth it? I have no money left on my budget but if it makes my parts last longer then I can make a little extra space for it.

No, get the ... This one is the same as H60 is.

If u get an after market CPU cooler, u can OC to 4.5GHz with ease : )
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus120mm CPU Cooler or the EVO version,
if the price is the same.
