Quadro and gtx card

Hello,

can i placed and a quadro 4000 or 4800 card and an nvidia gtx 580/590 on the same system?

I'm planning on using it both for multimedia creations using cs5 and gaming as well?

How should I proceed? should I create a dual boot system?

I "think" you'll be fine running two different cards. I mean, I see people running different cards all the time, so I don't know why it wouldn't work. Probably just have to set what programs default to which cards thats all. I've never ran two "different" cards myself though so I couldn't tell you for sure.

You can but you don't need a quadro really unless you work with programs that like pro cards for a living, or want to hook up more than 2 monitors.

thanks for the reply guys, my question is what driver do I need to install? the quadro or the gtx ones? Yes I need the power of quadro specifically for CS5 apps, my question is if I do just install my gtx 580 drivers, will my cs5 detect that there's a quadro in my system too?

No, you need the Quadro drivers. The pro cards, most of the differences in them IS the drivers not so much the hardware. So if you will run only the regular drivers, you may as well not mess with using a Quadro.
