  3. It may look like this.

  4. Do u already have the RAM?
  5. is it seriously that simple?
do i have to increase dram voltage the same percent as the overclock to match? this sort ties into my other thread about the voltages/utility/memory....

    :D
  6. Your RAM is bit weird : )
  7. Do u already have the RAM?
  8. yep, installed it monday but was confused because it showed up as the same speed as the ram i took out, 1333MHz. thought it would just show up faster and didn't know if i needed to change any bios settings to make it work correctly?

Try to select 1600MHz and see if it start up properly.
  12. U.K.
    oxfordshire.

  13. Do u have a feeling like u way over payed for something like that?

What made u to buy it?
  14. the cheapest i had seen by a long way!
  15. £61.00 for 16Gb of 1600MHz ram is cheap here!
  16. They really tax u in UK.

    Any way to return it?
  17. Well, did u tried it to OC?
  18. not yet, at work, it's 1.25pm here. will try it tonight and see how it goes. so can i just select 1866MHz in the bios utility and it's overclocked? and do i need to up the voltage from 1.5v? it's currently on 1.60v and all my temps are running at mid 30's c.

No, first try 1600 @ 1.5. Than u will see.

  21. Good luck!

thanks. i reset all the bios settings to standard, then turned the dram voltage down to 1.5v (from 1.6v ?), set the dram frequency to 1600MHz and it's all running fast, stable and cool. ;) i've also turned up just the cpu ratio on the overclocking utility from 18x to 24x and it's still stable and cool. :pt1cable: processor now shows as running at 4.8GHz up from 3.6GHz!! :sol: all temps are low to mid 30's, upping to low 40's when working hard.

    thanks for the advice nikorr.
