Trouble with Pentium D on PT88 Pro

I dont have trouble using pentium 4 2.66 ghz in my pt880 mother board but when I replaced it with
pentium d 830 3.0ghz i got trouble on it everytime I connect the cable from my modem (internet).
I got upgraded drivers. I even formatted and reinstalled my OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit but still it would not start.

I tried disconnecting the cable. It would start but when I connect the cable (from my modem) my desktop would totally freeze and I need to shut it down and restart it. I even tried to wait but it really is frozen.

I really wanna upgrade my processor but I always get this problem. What am I gonna do? Huhuhuhuhu

Is the Pentium D 830 officially supported by your motherboard? PT880 is a VIA chipset; what motherboard do you have?

Biostar Pt880 ac7 combo. socket 775.

The only one that I could find is http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=100 and it doesn't support the Pentium D 830.
