Ok, so I think I may have bit off a bit more than I could chew. I had an old custom PC that I built that was getting a bit slow and noisy. I thought I could buy a new case, motherboard, cpu, and cpu fan and fix all that while still using a lot of the old components. Well, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyway, here are my specs......

NZXT Technologies H2 Classic Silent Midtower
AMD CPU HDZ955FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz
ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO
Corsair XMS3 8 GB 1333 MHz PC3-10666 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Kit
Two old 500GB WD Sata HDs
One old DVD-Drive
Coolmax M-500B 500W Eps Power Supply

So, I can turn on my computer and everything powers up and starts spinning just fine. However, the MemOK! on the motherboard blinks red if I hit that. I don't get any video signal and nothing is being powered through USB (mouse and keyboard).

I did a bit of googling and realized that I am probably over taxing my PSU. I just ordered a OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W from amazon, but I would like to know if you guys think there is an other solution or problem that I am missing.

I was hoping to spend just $300 upgrading my old system, but this is looking more and more like a completely new computer everyday.

Thanks!
