Maya and Gaming

Hey everyone, this is my first time building a rig and I'm looking for one that can do gaming (battlefield 3) but also handle Maya (3d modeling ) and possibly cs5
I looked up some other threads that were along the same lines as this one seeing debates about whether to go with i5 2500k or i7 2600k,
I just want to make sure that I have parts that match up with eachother, and that they are reliable, I dont want to be replacing anything thats gonna crap out in a year or so.

Based on personal experience, I would not but asus hardware, I would buy Gigabyte instead.

well the Asus got better reviews than the gigabyte but each to their own, otherwise the build looks good mate. Just a note when adding a link just copy them in don't need the URL thing at each end.
