Hi guys,

I am looking to purchase the G.SKILL RIPJAWS X F3-1600C9D-16GXM 2x8GB RAM ( ).
I own a a GA-EX58-EXTREME motherboard ( ).

My mother board is not listed under the compatible motherboards list on the g.skill websites. However I don't understand why it wouldn't be able to support 240-pin 1600MHz RAM. Do you guys think it will be compatible?

Welcome to Tom's Forum! :)

Compatible yes but ideal no. You 'can' run in Dual Channel (multiples of 2; 2 or 4) mode but ideally it's better to run in Tri Channel mode (multiples of 3; 3 or 6). See Dual and Tri Channel installation ->

Unless you're running out of memory in the Resource Monitor and no 'Free' RAM is shown then there's no reason to add more RAM.
