I'm new to the forum so I apologize now if I do this wrong. I need help activating a serial port for my Rocket eBook Reader. My system has two serial ports but neither are active. How to I activate them?

Hi, first make sure the serial port you wish to use is enabled in BIOS. This process varies from motherboard to motherboard so check your motherboard manual to be sure of the exact procedure. Fiddling with BIOS settings can cause you system to stop functioning correctly - so be careful. Write down any BIOS setting you change so that you can change them back if necessary.
