This is a continuation of http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/304184-28-buying-guide-highend-professional-uses

As my thread was closed by moderator I have created a new.

Thanks to everybody and Special Thanks to K1111 you have supported from the beginning.

I have visited local shop yesterday. They don't have any cheap z68 mobo. So I do not have many more choices. Some times I am thinking I will go for a P8P67 (Normal Board) and graphics card at a time.

I am sending you few links of a shop from which you can get a fare idea about availability.

Currency Converter
1 US $ = 50 INR (Indian Rupees) (Approximately)

I have decided to purchase my system in two phases

Phase -1 (Now : within 7-10 days)
Processor : Intel Core i5 2500K or i7 2600K
Motherboard : Asus P8Z68 V Pro or Asus P8 Z68 V (Do not know the difference)
SMPS : Corsair GS 600 or Corsair TX 650
CPU Cooler : Corsair H50 or Cooler Master hyper 212+
RAM : Corsair or GSkil 2GB or 4GB @1333
Chassis : Cooler Master HAF 912
Chassis Fan : Cooler Master 120 mm FAN

Phase -2 (within 6-9 months )
RAM : Corsair or GSkil Tripple Channel 8GBx4 @2133/2200 (maximum supported by board) (in that case I will sell out Corsair or GSkil 4GB @1333)
Video Card : Zotac / MSI Nvdia GTS 450 or Zotac / MSI Nvdia GTX 550 Ti
SSD : Corsair or Kingston or G Skil 160 GB

I have find few products in online shopping portal ebay india.

yes I will go for that I have a plan..but not now....

The asus z68 non pro does not have raid support, no 1394a header and 2 less sata 3 ports. There might be more but those are the most obvious.

I would say not to get the h50 it's worse than the 212+. I do see many v6gt, these are really good but there's a big price variance. You can't really go wrong with any 120mm cooler and should just go with the best price.

BTW triple channel is a 3 stick kit. And sb is only dual channel and the mobos have 4 slots. You don't really need 2133 either and are usually way overpriced. 1600 to 2133 is only like a 4% performance difference at best but a huge price difference.

IMO I would get the i7 and save money elsewhere. 3D rendering is much better off with a better cpu than a ssd.

Many many thanks k1111
So after discussions with you and others I have finalized phase-I

Phase -1 (Now : within 7-10 days)(850$)
Processor : i7 2600K
Motherboard : Asus P8Z68 V Pro
SMPS : Corsair TX 650
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master hyper 212+
RAM : Corsair or GSkil 2GB or 4GB @1333 (for temporary basis)
Chassis : Cooler Master HAF 912
Chassis Fan : Cooler Master 120 mm FAN

Phase -2 (within 6-9 months )
RAM : Corsair or GSkil Dual Channel 8GBx4 @1600/1833 (maximum supported by board)
Video Card : Zotac / MSI Nvdia GTS 450 or Zotac / MSI Nvdia GTX 550 Ti
TV / Monitor : 2 X 22" or 24" 3D LED Monitor (Samsung / HP / Dell) or 1 X 32" / 40" 3D LED (Sony / Samsung / Toshiba)
(Presently I have 2 X 17" CRT, 1 Samsung, 1 LG)

Local sales person try to convince me about Zotac as because it has a 5 yrs warranty plan..others have only 2-3 years.
But recently I have gone through a mid range video card comparison at tom's hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-radeon-graphics,2977.html). No zotac card is there. Top cards are from MSI & Gigabyte. What should I do? I know this is for phase 2. But I want to know the company name thats it.

What are the differences between VGA Port, DVI & HDMI? What are the functionalities?

I know at this point of time those rams are over priced thats why I will wait for few months. I know that within that time frame 32GB Ram @ 1833 will be available at my today's budget which is 250$. This will be appropriate for my video card also , I will get a better video card in same budget (150$) and it too releases my financial stress. So I will be more beneficial for a long time. I hope this decision will go in my favor.

I just would like to know you k1111. Which country do you belong to? What do you do? Just brief about you.

Thanks again.....

If your "high end professional uses" include any 3D CAD applications such as Solidworks I STRONGLY suggest reconsidering your GPU. I use SW nearly every day and can tell you that it does not run well with anything but a SW recommended GPU. This does not have to be an expensive GPU, for instance I'm currently using a Quadro 600 which cost about $150. You can also spend thousands for the highest performance GPUs. I recommend against an AMD/ATI GPU.

Yes offcourse my dear friend ..I will use my system for 3D Mechanical cad application too.....like solid edge, solid works, inventor, pro/engineer etc....
Majority persons has suggested Nvidia as it supports CUDA & Open CL and price is on lower side....

I have checked at our local city shop...mid range quadro are available priced as 400$

in online shopping portals like ebay it is avaliable.....
http://computers.shop.ebay.in/Computer-Components-/3667/i.html?_nkw=quadro&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282

but yes it is overpriced.......190$ for a 256MB card

solidworks has mentioned that I need atleast 1.5 gb card for medium complexities...so that will be really out of my budget....

In case I want to install quadro as my second gpu in future ..is it possible?
