And yes the phenom is MUCH better in every respect, but depending on the price where you are, I do not think it is worth it. o1die a c 159 à CPUs October 18, 2011 1:03:16 PM Your power supply is bare minimum at 220 watts. You may have to change it to run the phenom II. Use antec, ocz, or corsair, not a cheaper brand if you change it. Click and check your board specification: support.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/2010/acer/Aspire/AspireX3400/AspireX3400sp2.shtml Also check amd phenom II x4 965 black edition specification: http://www.anandtech.com/show/2819 Note: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE is the last limit of processor which supported by your motherboard (acer aspire x3400). yasir siddiqui October 18, 2011 1:10:16 PM You should change your power supply at least min 450w or 500-600w because having lower watt psu could be damaged your graphics card. marcd2011 October 18, 2011 1:38:56 PM thank alot for all this everyone, one problem i dont have a clue what psu to get? apparently its a small factor form?? or something like that and i dont know where to get it from lol Can't find your answer ?
