I am doing research for my roommate right now on CDR's for notebooks. Being the desktop junkie that I am, I have very little experience with notebooks, and really don't know whick type of interfce would be the best to use. I know about the different interfces on the notebook, but I am looking for information of performance comparisons. I am also searching for different brand names are better in the notebook world?? If anyone can lend any advice on this subjectit would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard that the sony USB writer works pretty good. Though you might want to wait for Specification USB 2.0 which the transfer rate is about a 100 times greater (USB 1.0 = 5MB/s and USB 2.0 = 480MB/s). It should be showing up on stuff by the middle of next year. PCMCIA ones will always work too.
