Will this GPU work? + few questions

Ok so I am a mega noob with computers and hardware, thats why i joined this site. But I want to upgrade my current computer which has a core 2 duo e8400 at 3.0Ghz. My motherboard is - HP 3048H - Chipset = Intel Q45/Q43. I have a really lame GPU but i want to get the Radeon 6850 , so will it work with this motherboard and CPU. Also I heard this CPU is easy to overclock but is it possible to do it with this motherboard and no extra fans. Thanks in advance!

The GPU should work, assuming the PSU is strong enough, but overclocking the CPU won't be possible with that HP. OEM's lock down their motherboards to keep you from being able to do so.

Thanks for the post. Do you think a 320W PSU is enough? Oh and does the GFX card need extra power from the PSU?

The minimum recommended PSU is a 500W unit, although you can get away with less, but 320W would be cutting it WAY too close, for my liking.

And yes, all 6850's require at least 1 PCIe power connector and some require 2.
