DVI versions?

I am interested in upgrading to DVI form my old VGA cable. I am using a hd6850. My hd6850 has a dual-link DVI-I and my monitor has a dual-link DVI-D. I couldn't find any cables that had a dual-link DVI-I to a dual-link DVI-D. Could someone recommend one? I am not sure if I want to upgrade, but I have heard great things about it.

I don't have a DVI cable. That is why I am asking. Also, do I need a specific type to fir my dual-link DVI-I and DVI-D? Will any DVI cable work?

Unless your monitor has a 120hz refresh rate you can use any single link or dual link DVI-I or DVI-D cable, there are no DVI-I to DVI-D cables that I know of.

Okay, even if my monitor has a DVI-D connector and my card has a DVI-I connector? I just want to make sure if I ever decide to buy it. I would just grab a DVI-D single link cable and that would plug into my DVI-I slot on my card and my DVI-D on my monitor? Sorry, I don't know much about connectors.

No, just use any cable other than a DVI-A cable.
