Acer aspire 1410 battery not charging

Gentlemen, my acer aspire 1410 battery is not charging. I have 23 minutes left. When I take out the battery, and plug in the electrical cord, no power goes to the notebook. Do I need a new battery, or do I have more serious problems?

Well I had the same problem(it was the 1st one)
and it can be either 2 things
1.your power supply is dead.
2 your power input is dead(The Hole where you plug in your charger)
