My PC turn off after i start up a game and play it for around 5-6 minutes one it turns off the screen goes black and the light on the power button of the monitor goes orange but the sound is still on but then after a short time the sound begins to repeat. this happens to me with every game that needs graphics. My video card is nvidia geforce 9400 gt. my system rating is 4.9 and my proccesor is a pentium(R) dual-core CPU E5200 @ 2.50 GHz and my RAM is 2.00 GB my system type is a 32 bit operating system.

Download, install and run HDMonitor.
Look at voltages and temps, at idle. Run a program to load the cpu and monitor temps and voltages. The run a program to load the gpu and monitor temps and voltage.
Look closely at +12 V in both cases. The +12V should NOT be below 11.4 V

To load CPU, I use prime 95 - NOTE, monitor your temps closely and be prepared to stop Prime 95 if temps get to high, will reach close to it's max temp in about 15 Mins - In your your case that could be much shorter. Prime 95 is safe to run for long time, just I think you may have a temp/voltage problem.

To max out the GPU, run Furmark in a window.

Report back w/temps and voltages.

OH i forgot to mention that my PC was working fine for a few months and then i played for 2 hours or so and then it turned off with the orange light on the monitor and then i played again the next week then it turned off after 1 hour then next week it turned off after 30 minutes over and over until now

That's a very bad thing.

OCCT will record and graph temperatures and voltages during CPU and GPU tests.

Sounds like your heat sink has come loose or the fan isn't operating
