Dv4320-02e with x4 2.8

Hello,
I was wondering if I could drop in a x6 black edition 1100 in the existing mother board I am pretty sure I will need a bios update but is this even possible at all? also what is the max ram I can add?

Am I to understand you own an HP? I can only assume that by your thread title. As for x4 to x6 chips, many motherboards in aftermarket can, but many also cannot due to lack of BIOS updates. I would suggest checking your HP support listing for your model to check for BIOS updates, specifically read their notes. Unless someone else out there has done exactly this.
