Google is your friend. This sort of question is best answered by trying a Google search for the specs of that board instead of opening up a thread. This link was the very first result of a Google search for "ASUS P8H61-M LX" and states that with two DIMMS, it supports up to 16GB, so it must support 8GB modules.

Quote:
* The maximum 16GB memory capacity can be supported with 8GB or above DIMMs. ASUS will update the memory QVL once the DIMMs are available in the market.

It then goes on to say that the board should also support higher capacity modules. However, if you want 8GB of RAM capacity but only want a single 8GB module rather than two modules, keep in mind that you're sacrificing dual-channel for it. It's not a huge performance boost, but it helps a little.

Also, nitpicking here, but memory module is not a proper noun and shouldn't be capitalized as Memory Module. It's just memory module or module.

Thank you for the answer and anyways I've always wanted to open up a thread since I would be building my own desktop within a month or so,so every help regarding tiny little details is appreciated.

Now I'm thinking why not install the 8GB memory instead!
So,I need to know the whether the ASUS P8H61-M LX Mobo would support the following memory configs...
1]Corsair XMS3 4GB (2 X 4GB) DDR3 1333MHz (CMX4GX3M1A1333C9)
or
2]Corsair Vengeance LP (2 X 4GB) DDR3 1333MHz (CML8GX3M2A1333C9)
or
3]GSKILL Ripjaws X Series (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333MHz (F3-10666CL9S-8GBXL)

either of the above must support cause I want to install one of them else I would have to go with Transcend or Kingston

Any of those should work, but I'd recommend a DDR3-1600 kit rather than a DDR3-1333 kit. As a personal preference, I tend to prefer G.Skill, but any of the others should be fine too.

Oh I see.,the above mentioned aren't in the latest QVL of this MOBO :(  , hence I asked.

I read the Mobo's manual, it says that only 1066MHz and 1333MHz memory clock speed is supported,so,you are saying 1600MHz ones would support too???
Great then... :)  :)  :)  I would buy those.

Nevermind about that, I forgot that your board maxes out at 1333MHz. Stick with 1333. Being on the QVL just means that it has already been tested with that board, but they should work anyway, so long as they have the right voltage (1.5v). If you'd rather have the reassurance of going with a kit that is on the QVL, then you could get a kit from the QVL.
