HDTV Card

Tried to connect computer to HDTV. Did not work. Apparently I need a HDTV compatible card. Can't find out what type of card I need. Went on line. Find list of cards which say Hybrid, combo, dual, digital. Do I need one of these? If so which (1 or more) will work?

You shouldn't need a new card. It's probably just a matter of finding the correct resolution, but if you could list what inputs your HDTV has and what graphics card you currently have, we can probably give you a hand.
