X3 amd 445 UNLOCK [PROBLEM]

Hi to all , I'm new here... I just want to ask for help for my x3 amd 445 about unlocking..

After I unlock my amd x3 445 from the bios, the screen is dont have display anymore.. I already Update my bios 1.6 is the latest in the internet

I try of waiting about 5 minutes but no progess. Help me



My Specs:
Mobo: ASROCK n68C-S UCC
CPU: AMD ATHLON II X3 445
RAM: G.SKILL 2GHZ DDR3 1333 WITH CORSAIR 2GHZ DDR3 1333
GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE 8500 GT
PSU: THERMALTAKE TR2 600W
HD: WD GREEN 640gb

they dont all unlock successfully

if you cant get it to post you will have to clear the cmos

looks like you have a CPU that does not unlock, pull out out the CMOS battery for 5 minutes to reset settings

can you give a name of a procie that can unlock to x4 with motherboard?...

all AMD processors that can unlock have just as much chance as having bad cores (locked). if you want a quad core then buy a quad core. otherwise, you have a good chance of being stuck with two processors that don't unlock.

The reason there are "LOCKED" cores is because they didnt pass AMD quallity control.

so AMD had 2 options. Bin the entire processor (intel's method)

or release the chip with the failed core disabled as the rest of the core's passed fine.


X3 is a 4 core CPU with 1 core failed quallity checks
(they fail for a reason and unlocking them is very likley to cause system instability but sometimes you get lucky and everything works fine.)

if u want a 4 core CPU, buy a 4 core CPU.

you may go through a pile of x3's before you find one that unlocks without problems.

I believe that my CPU will never unlock , it's looks like a no chance anymore

anyway I'm very thankful to all who replied for my thread...

By the way how to delete this thread? because I think this is already solved
