I currently have an Sapphire Tech hd 5870 GB eyefinity 6 edition, and i want to buy another hd 5870 but i don't want to spend more to get another 6 edition, can i crossfire a normal reference 5870 1GB version with the 2GB eyefinity 6 edition?

Yes you can but both cards will run at 1GB(Only 1GB capacity of the 5870 2GB card will be used)

You can, but the 2GB card will only be able to use 1GB due to the nature of Crossfire. if you are using 6 monitors, this will probably be an issue for you. If you are only using 3 monitors, then you may be o.k for now but will probably suffer from not having the extra RAM latter on.
