I have an Asus Sabertooth 990FX mobo.It is compatible with AM3+.Are the Bulldozers the only AM3+ processors?I want a quality processor for gaming. Is the performance going to be better than say some of the Phenom ii 900 series or 1100 series?

Any AM3 cpu will work in the AM3+ mobo. So far, it doesnt seem like the new 6+ core AM3+ cpus are worth it for gaming. The Phenom II X4 line is the best value for AMD in gaming atm (and a great value overall). I dont see the new AM3+ quad core processor on sale, but that could be as good as the PII X4 at a lower power draw. So atm, the Phenom II 955BE is the best value for gaming.
Agreed with both the above, but i would suggest the Zosma 960T for the 9xx series. A stable BE quad-core good for OC'ing, and has the potential to unlock 2 more cores.

Just noticed the cpu on newegg. Very interesting cpu vs the 955. Should technically run cooler at the speeds, and has a very good chance to become at least a penta core.
