Case airflow
-Sylvan
Below is a 2D diagram I've drawn up to illustrate my current airflow configuration inside my HAF - X (I'm not an artist, I know it sucks lol).
It's pretty self explanatory, it's looking in from the side of the case.
In addition to what you see in the illustration, I have 320mm fan that goes on the side and sucks cool air in and blows it onto the GPU.

Coretemp says the 4 cores on my i5 2500k are running around 28 degrees celcius idle.
I need opinions on my current airflow set up, it's pretty much default.
Are there going to be dead spots?
Could it be improved?
Thanks in advance.

Could I add another fan on top to draw out hot air, or should I leave it as 1 near the back?
I would lean towards another top exhaust personally = hot air rises.
I've tried the side fan thing and was never impressed enough to keep it.
All it ever did was add more dust and a negligible temp drop not even 2-3C, 1C maybe.
120mm in front of my gpu in two rigs dropped gpu temp by 2C.
The HAFX has huge fans, very different from what i'm use to.
Someone with a HAFX will reply and share their experience.
Otherwise your airflow looks great imo. -

Alright, I will turn off the side fan. Thanks
I'll work on getting the airduct installed, I have no idea how to install it currently lol
Then I can focus on OC'ing my GTX 580. -

Don't take my word for it.
Run some temp test first with the side fan/without
you're results might be different.
You have huge fans.
Then try the air duct and take temps.
