I have an AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core with 4 gigs of RAM. How well will this run Flight Simulator X and FSX with the Accelerator add-in?

itzdanielp: thanks for the information. I looked into my system using Aida and it has nothing under GPU. The only thing I find under display is:

Video Adapter Properties
Device Description ATI Radeon HD 4200
Adapter String ATI Radeon HD 4200
BIOS String 113-B43106-004
Chip Type ATI display adapter (0x9710)
DAC Type Internal DAC(400MHz)
Installed Drivers ati2dvag (6.14.10.7060)
Memory Size 700 MB

Video Adapter Manufacturer
Company Name ATI Technologies Inc.
Product Information http://www.ati.com/products/home-office.html
Driver Download http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

Do I have to upgrade that instead of the CPU?

It's kind of one of those things where you are going to need to update both to get good performance. But I would definitely upgrade your Video Card (GPU) first, then upgrading your CPU when you get a chance.

I would suggest either an ATI Radeon HD 6950 / 6970
or an nVidia GeForce GTX 560ti / 570
