My win 7 desktop does not recognize my network lan connection, it keeps showing me my wireless network without the Lan...
Are you running an ethernet cord from your PC to your router? or connecting wireless via adapter or card to your network? I don't see why you would need both LAN and wireless connection to your desktop at the same time. It's usually one or the other.
...and if you are connected to your router via ethernet is your Lan adapter enabled? You can check by going to Control Panel and then in the top right corner there is a dropbox to view small icons. Then go to Network and Sharing center. On the left hand side click Change adapter settings.
From there find your LAN card or commonly called a NIC (Network interface Card) on the list. Then Right click the NIC and click Enable
