Good laptop or pre-built desktop for around $600?

Can someone suggest some good desktops or laptops for around $600. I don't need it to run any games. I usually watch videos or movies. I might use it to write. If it has a blu-ray player that would be a great plus, but not a necessity. Thanks .

for example, this would allow you to get a slim tower i5-2400 system + windows 7 + 23" dell professional monitor for $565 (i just configured one recently). not sure on the blu-ray player.
