CPU Upgrade?

Hello there people,

Here is my current situation, I'm looking not for a full upgrade but a few parts such as; Case, CPU, MB maybe install an SSD drive.

Current build

AMD Phenom x6 (OC'ed 3.2)
Noctua D14 (never remember the name the massive one that does not fit in any case on the planet lol)
Asus M75TD
8GB 1600MHz RAM
GTX 460 Sonic Platinum edition
750w Corsair

Do I upgrade from 6 core to a 3.9GHz BD 8 core? I do a lot of rendering :)

Cheers

Cain.

  1. I don't think that the mobo is AM3+ but if it is, it might actually be a good idea to get the FX-81XX because it's very easy to overclock and even though Phenom beats BD, some OC might fix that.

    It's not AM3 but I did state I was upgrading that :)
  3. I personally think you would do much better with a faster Phenom II

Here is how the 1090T compares to the flagship FX8150

Oh ok. Then, here's an excellent mobo with auto overclocking http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131757 . Nice case budget case here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146058&Tpk=nzxt%20m59

I got that case lol, I love the style and all. Not enough space from the beast CPU cooler I have fans mounted outside the case -_- I want a massive full tower so i can actually mount the damn fans inside the case lol.

You can assure me that I can fit my beast in here and my fans lol. Thats a tall statement...
