How badly have i dropped the ball?

So ive preordered a BD 8150

I do play a lot of games, namely things like LoL and BF3
however im also a forensics student and work with a decent amount of multi threaded programs.

Currently i have a 955BE oc'd a little.

How much improvement am i expecting to see if any at all?
i know the single threaded programs it falls below the phenom 6's but like i said, it will be used primarily for games and multi tasking/threading

should i cancel it and stick with my 955 or?

You could always grab a cheap mobo and throw a gaming rig together then use the Bd for work?
