When I bought ASUS Rampage IV GENE last week, the mobo box does not state it is Wins 8 ready..

Will Asus release a bios update for me?

Hello,
My name is Gn.

I've just recently bought the following hardwares:

AcBel iPower85H (750W)

Corsair Vengence 4GB DDR3 1333mhz

Sapphire HD Radeon 7950 OC

Intel I7-3930K

Kindly advise the best motherboard to accompany them, thank you. :D
Feel free to recommend any mobo other than Asus.

I will buy Corsair H100 as the CPU's cooler.
Opinion?

Solution
Only get ASUS for LGA 2011 and then with a Corsair H80 or H100. There have been so many issues with other X79's that ASUS is it. The problems oddly enough have been temperature issues mostly on MSI and Gigabyte.

The 'bundle' is a screwing 248.49 + 54.99 = 303.48 vs 311.12 ; the bundle costs you more.
Welcome to Tom's Forum Gn! :)

Any of the ASUS X79's would be fine, I like both the ASUS Sabertooth X79 (great warranty and active cooling for VRM & Chipset), ASUS Rampage IV Formula (Great gaming MOBO with SupremeFX III onboard sound), and ASUS P9X79 PRO.

I'd also get 4x4GB of RAM, you'll need at least 8GB for optimal gaming.

ASUS gets my vote wouldn't waste my money on "fisher price" water cooling though just get one of these heat sinks instead CPU Cooler:Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler - 140x140x25mm, i5, i7, 775, AM2 $79.99

PHANTEKS PH-TC14PE_BL 5 x?8mm Dual Heat-Pipes Dual 140mm Premium Fans and Quiet CPU Cooler with Patented P.A.T.S Coating
by Phanteks $99.99

Hmm...I assume you're also putting XSPC in the "fisher price" water cooling category. Products like Koolance or EK sure, great quality, expensive but very nice. The H100 will take you through 5GHz just fine.

Huge HSF "Lawnmower engines" = no thanks

I've taken the efforts more than once to debate just this: H100 vs XSPC vs NH-D14. I don't have the energy again -- here.

Simply cleaning and maintenance puts the H100 far ahead. $30 is absolutely nothing in the cost of an LGA 2011 build.

Keep in mind I build and have a full loop system myself (blocked: CPU, 3 GPUs, MOBO; reservoir, pump, multiple exchanges, etc) -- it's a PITA to clean and maintain. The closed loop systems like the H100 require a few sucks from a vacuum and blow off the fans -- the simplest is to clean is a pull configuration.

In contrast, the XSPC still is a 240 but the added burden of fouled coolant and the NH-D14 is a nightmare to fully clean -- I end up yanking the HSF assembly to properly clean the fins.

The Sharkoon Scorpio 2000 is a an ATX Case and the ASUS Rampage IV GENE is a uATX (mATX) MOBO so it will fit, and the Sharkoon Scorpio 2000 pictured has the top drive cage removed so pretty much any GPU will fit.

As far as the HD 7950 being too 'heavy' then no it's not.

I have no complaints about Dell UltraSharp monitors especially their LED/IPS panel displays, but if you want 3D on AMD then Samsung is probably your best bet example the Samsung S23A700D (no DisplayPort) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001537 For AMD HD3D you don't need a DisplayPort; DVI, HDMI v1.4a or later, or DisplayPort 1.1 or later and it's best to have a monitor with a vertical refresh rate of 120Hz.

Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable

How do you connect your monitor to your gpu? Please recommend to me.

Samsung provides a dual-link DVI cable. Could it connect the monitor to Sapphire Radeon 7950 dual-link DVI-I?
