I5-750-got thermal paste on top of cpu-on sides

I was reseating my heat sink and applying thermal paste to the processor. A family member came in unexpectedly and startled me. I ended up getting thermal paste towards the edge of the I5-750..some of it got on the "top" pins..if you want to call them that. None got onto the bottom of the processor or the socket itself. I am not sure what to do. I wiped it up as best as possible and most of it is off now. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed? or will it be ok since it is on the top of the processor and none is on the bottom of the processor or the pins?

You should be alright as long as the paste is of the non-conductive variety of which the the majority are.
If it's AS5 i'd be concerned.

AS5 is also Non-conductive (The "silver" misleands may to think it is coinductive).

Just wipe off with a cuetip and alcohol (I prefer the 91 %, I use 100% but that is not normally available)
